So a friend of mine invited me to play this game with him and some friends... Yet none of them have been playing at all! I've gotten to level 25 on my own, leveled my weaving up to 22, but now I feel like I've hit a wall.

I want a chocobo at least... I'm under the impression there are dungeons and things to explore in this game, but I have no one to party with and no one to explore with. It's lonely. *sniffle*

So I figured I could turn to the forum and ask for some advice. What should I do at this point?

Would tell you to transfer servers but getting ur craft to 22 makes me re think that choice. lol Check the forums for your world server Rabanastre and look in the linkshell portion; see if you can find a nice chill linkshell to have people to party with.

Sorry your friends ditched you but there are plenty of folks here to become new friends.

There should be server merge's coming soon hopefully and these should fix this problem, just got to hang in there till then, what you could do is like the OP said find an awesome LS and chill out with them GL with You're FFXIV and hope you enjoy the game and stay with us

im guessing you and your friends started a LS? my advice is to find an active LS, one with low lvl players who will have common goals as you.

look in the forums for LS recruit threads or post your own thread looking for a shell.

You can do that or try the forums there is always someone shouting on our server in ul'dah looking for new memebers for linkshells.

Welcome to FFXIV and I hope you've enjoyed playing so far.

I know the feeling where you start with friends and they end up quitting on you after you've committed time and effort into the game (happens to me all the time ;

Anyway, if you truly like the game, then you should definitely continue playing, even if it's just casually and not as a way of just getting levels (doing sidequests, getting achievements, exploring Eorzea, etc.). If it's not for you, then there's no problem walking away from the game (the game will get better, so you can always wait till big patches come so you can see how the game as that point)

One thing I'd recommend you do is doing group content via shouting. Something simple such as leveling, dungeon crawling, exploring, and so on. I'm sure you'll come across someone on your server that seems friendly, and if they have a linkshell, you can ask them if you can join. I've joined many linkshells and have made many friends through doing events via shouts or just helping people with various things or asking for help myself.

Your server has tons of people that I'm sure will want to meet you. Even if they don't have a linkshell, you could possibly make one with them!

Yeah. Ul'dah is your best bet. And avoid all these scalpers from other servers >.<

Ask Kadessa Raydoli or Jim Telos for a linkshell. They'll set you up.
