I already said how to fix that; make it only useable in astral fire and tag a big mp cost to it. Then it'd be a chunk of a dps loss for them to do it.
RDM 4x rezzes in 10 seconds is a "wipe it now and start fresh" type situation. Also the healing potency is only 350, and you act like it doesn't take two GCDs just like casting cure 1 twice would. The second is just on the front end of the GCD rather than the back like most spells.
You'd actually just make it an MP-less ability with a long ass cooldown, if we go this route. The issue with Raising and Thauamturges is that MP means nothing, and losing some portion of damage is better than wiping.
It'd also be better to differentiate this from other raises. Things can serve the same function (wipe recovery) without being exactly the same.
I can't believe people are whining over a res ability this class does not need, and should not WANT. We are "pure" damage dealers, do any of you languishing for a res understand what that concept means? The reason i root myself to the ground whenever possible, make movements for the sake of mechanics at the last micro second, is because I'm trying to pump out every ounce of dps I can to be at the top of the charts because that is the ONLY reason you bring a BLM to a fight. I don't need or want a friggin raise, and I swear to god if they give us a res over fixing our post 4.0 rotation in some capacity as a means to troll us because of this thread I am going to go to sleep reciting everyone of your names that asked for it on this thread.
Lets say 2 second cast and 2.5 recast as per gcd.
Vercure->raise is 4.5 seconds, swift raise adds 2.5 seconds. We're at 7 seconds, add 2 seconds for vercure and 2.5 for raise, 11.5. 3 raises, 11.5 seconds. 4th raise adds another 4.5 seconds for 16 seconds.
I can log in later and replace these theoretical numbers with my own cast times.

BLM is the greediest DPS, the buffs and/or extra utility should focus on improving its own damage output. I miss my raging strikes![]()
instead if rez, give blm a new trait

shorter CD than normal Mana-Shift + we give the other players the same amount of mana, but let it use up less mana ob the blm sending it (whlie increasing our mp pool a tick)
