Hello,

This is a major issue, as some people are deprived housing due to players using alts to purches multiple houses on the same server. They then exploit prices to re-sell the house well above their original value. As the houses are priced high ti discourage RMT transactions I feel that this is also a violation along the same principle.

I therefor suggest that Housing be linked to the account per server.. So 1 house per server per account. This will eliminate this issue. Also it would be fantastic if we could share the purchased house across multiple characters.

What do you guys think?

I think one per account is an awful idea because that would mean fc leaders can only have a fc house while everyone else in the fc can have use of the fc house and their own house.

It should be one personal house and one fc house per account. It is exceptionally rare for a player to be managing multiple active fcs so one fc house per account is enough for 99% of players. On top of that all alts should automatically get access to the private home so that players can get housing on all their characters without feeling the need to make shell fcs.

Shouldn't be an issue since you are purchasing through the FC rather than individual. Every player would have the potential to purchase 2 house; one individual and one FC. Of course this can be abused to but much than letting alts buying up lots. Another device would be the inability to relinquish a plot until after 45 days has past. Plot seller who want to make quick gil would be held to a slow turning around for profit and might discourage it as a fast source of income.

Most major MMOs have housing these days. Only WoW seems to stand out as the outlier, and Tera. Tera originally intended to have housing it seems so it's likely to get it in the future.

Also in terms of detail, FFXIV is far below average compared to games like Rift and Wildstar.

I would genuinely rather not have housing, than have 80% of the playerbase unable to access it in any meaningful fashion.

If Square Enix can't find a way to guarantee some access to their entire playerbase because they refuse to use instances or have horrendous data infrastructure, then they should just scrap it, because they clearly don't have the capabilities to implement it well.
