Ninja: Shadow Fang and how it affects it self

So, i've been thinking about Shadow Fang, and how the slashing resistance down affects it.

For example, if i use Shadow Fang on a target which has no "slashing resistance down" on it, does the damage increase from the "slashing resistance down" apply before the actual damage from the weapon skill, thus increasing it's base damage?

And also does the resistance down actually affects the damage over time from the weapon skill?

Would very much appreciate any answers.

No, it doesn't affect itself if its not already up, and no DoTs aren't affected by slashing/blunt/piercing resistance down.

I see, confirmed this my self after testing for awhile also.
