It's interesting you say that OP, I did a little research...considering you played over 1000 games in a season and still only ranked in gold. I guess that little strategy you got going there didn't pan out for you? Neither skill or determination is involved you said? Hmm.

I'm getting the feeling that you didn't make it and due to that you want the reward made achievable through senseless grind, whilst coming on here acting like a good Samaritan making it out like you want the reward available to everyone when let's be honest here for a second, you really just want it for yourself.

Season 5 is coming around the corner and they've levelled the playing field for you. I wish you the very best of luck.

I really don't want to make this personal. I want to have a meaningful, honest discussion with both like-minded players, and players who disagree.

Also, I didn't say there was no skill or determination involved. I've said many times that players who rank in the top 100, many of whom I have played with, are incredibly skilled. BUT you and I both know that the Twitch thing happens, the win-trading happens and the call-out overlays exist. That stuff is akin to bringing a gun to a knife fight. Don't act like you don't know.

I stopped at Gold because I realized there was no way to realistically compete against the Twitch PVP bandwagon, win-traders, alt rank ladder cloggers, match-riggers and overlay cheaters. If you went ahead and did it anyway and got Diamond or Platinum, that's great! More power to you. But no where else in this game are things so heavily skewed like they were in pre-SB PVP. No where else is your rating/ranking tied to the efforts of three other people that you may not know and most definitely cannot strategize with.

As I've said many times before, it's like tying your hands and feet together and then throwing you into a pool and telling you to swim.

you say you can't play enough to get into top 100 during that time with repeated rewards? Im sorry OP, iam not convinced with your excuses, I wanna see you participate in season 5 and prove yourself worth to us. I wanna see you in top 100 next season for me to take you seriously.

Thankfully, no one needs to prove anything to anyone to be taken seriously or anything else. I really couldn't care less if I've earned anyone's "blessing" or permission in order to make these suggestions. They are only suggestions, after all, and...

The focus of this thread was to thank SE for the ticket system to give those of us who did hit a tier something beyond accessories. I do hope that eventually past rewards will be made available through tickets too. Will I go on a rant-filled, salt-induced forum rage if they aren't? Nope. But I will clap for you and congratulate you on your Hellhound. I am not so bitter that I don't admire the effort it took to get it. I did the same with the first people who had the A12S mounts.

My biggest issue was that they made past rewards exclusive AND seasonal. Let's look at that weird Yo-Kai ghost car thing as an example. Imagine a huge swath of the player base wanting that as a mount (snicker), as we did with the Hellhound.

We had 2 months and change to work for that mount. A grind for sure -- But if things were set up like the PVP system:

- You'd have to queue for a FATE with 4 other players and wait for hours.
- Even if you did get into the FATE, your ability to get a rating from it would depend on the coordination 3 other players in your group.
- Oh and did I mention you can't talk to them? Pre-fab commands only.
- If one of the players elected to stand outside of the FATE and just not care, everyone's ranking suffered and you'd lose -- not just the time and effort you invested personally, but you'd miss out on those Yo-Kai coins too.

Could you imagine the veritable goobbue dung storm that would have happened with the Yo-Kai event if that were the case?

I think the ticket system is a step in the right direction. Assuming each Feast season is around 3-4 months, and assuming past rewards were available, let's say (totally hypothetical example)

You get 10 tickets for diamond
8 tickets for platinum
6 tickets for gold
4 tickets for silver
2 tickets for bronze

A Hellhound mount costs 10 tickets. That would mean, if I ranked Gold in season 5 and Platinum in Season 6, I'd have ranked enough to afford it after half a year. Fair enough?

SE has said a lot of things were exclusive that ultimately ended up not being that way. Moogle outfit and hat, the Lightning stuff, etc. Probably the Yo-Kai stuff will eventually go into the Mog Station too. Exclusivity doesn't mean for life - it stops being exclusive when they say it does.

I'm a business owner so I'm looking at this from a business perspective too. More people playing PVP and earning tickets = longer subscriptions = more money.

No, NOT fair enough. It's promised to be exclusive and that's why quite a lot of people played for it too. Stop crying about rewards from previous seasons. It's not the fault of the people who got them, it's yours, so just stop.

This time around, the players ferocious enough to break into the top 100 will earn a full set of armor as a reward. This equipment won't be available anywhere else, so start sharpening your claws and fangs!

Won't be available anywhere else - but that's not to say it won't be available at any other time in the future. Just don't act surprised if it happens, is all I'm saying. The moogle costume and such were supposedly exclusive too. If we get access to old rewards with this new system great, if not, no big deal. I enjoy PVP so I'll be participating anyway.

Trust me , if they ever make old season reward available. The most hardcore pvp players will quit and that will deal a major blow to the current pvp community. Having exclusive reward during the seasons is the only thing that keep US the pvp players hook on it.
