Main Screen. Is it an oversight?

If you start the game, then play it. Don't start the game and the go and do some random stuff. Simple. If you want to do some other random thing, then don't start the game or turn it off.

In ALL the games in existence, the opening cinematics have some amount of spoiler. Every single one of them. It is absolutely unavoidable to make cinematics for a game without adding a spoiler to it, though it is possible to make the spoiler less or more prevalent. Heck, this is the same with cartoons openings, so it's not game-related either.

And if you happen to end up on the cinematic?! Eh...turn it off?! If you don't want to be spoiled, you turn off the spoilers, right?! It takes what, one second?! In that one second you will not notice anything that would be a spoiler. There is a decently long introduction into what the song is, with nothing but a flag of Garlemard in the background. There is zero reason why anyone not wanting to be spoiled would be spoiled.

Though I agree it would be nice to be able to select the opening screen, there is no problem nor oversight to be talking about here at all.

Just clicking on the play button without logging in is enough, except if your game takes 10min to start which I believe isn't the case.

A forced argument. If it shows the teaser, then it surely logs off when you suspend the game (reasonable). If that's the case, then just...I don't know...log off?! I mean, who, in case of an emergency, does even DO anything?! If I need to go to the toilet, I find a safe place and go to the toilet. Then I return to a game ready to play again. There is zero difference between PS4 and PC in that respect.

Suspend is for single player games, not MMO's. It simply does not work for MMO's, since those depend on constant connection anyway. You start the game from scratch wherever you would use it. So...don't use it.

And, still, you have not answered the most important "question"...Why not just turn the trailer off?! It takes less than a second, making sure you won't see a darn thing of importance. I really doubt PS4 players have no means of doing that. That would be stupid, since PC can skip it.
