    Moogle fight compared to ifrit

Hi i havent done moogle yet but i was wondering if they have moved away from some of the mechanics i find so frustrating in the ifrit fight

ie, getting hit by plumes and eruptions when im not near/inside them, and the whole animation lock business.

maybe i should just check out youtube but jus wanted to see wut people think.

Server lag (i.e. getting hit by eruptions/plumes while not in them on your screen) do not play a role in this fight. It's all about crowd control.

    I hope this helps

The Ifrit fight is technically harder because his moves hit so hard there isn't much room for errors where as the moogle fight is longer and has a lot of room for errors. However people have been using an exploit in the fight. I encourage you not to use that and to fight it straight through. You'll feel better about the kill when you get it. I assure you.

For Ifrit fight, ya it's a dodge game. It's not about how much damage you can do. A group of people, with bad damage, can win it as long as they dodge well. (<--- I didn't define my "bad" here)

For Moogle battle, it's a damage game. You need nice DD to survive well. Moogle king will use something like Hellfire when he spawn, which is around 7 min you enter the field. the damage is based on how much little ones survived before the summon. The moogle will pop at each min. So, that means you have to kill one each minute. I think 2 moogles left already can wipe the most members in the party with sentinal on. all killed only get 200 damage with sentinal and 500 without. Then, you need a nice DD again to kill 8 of them one by one.

I think moogle battle is very stress on the gear. of course we also have lots case bad gear member out-damage good gear one...

Nope, it doesn't use any mechanics where lag can kill you.

Overall I think Moogle is harder to learn but easier to reproduce, with less random elements that can wipe you.

After the addition of combos, Ifrit is a lot more fun just because of the added sense of danger if you're on a class that has directional requirements in their combos. But it's still basically a 'stay the f*ck out of the fire' fight, an idiot check.

Moogle does have the same animation lag issues (getting stuck in BLM AoE because you were mindlessly spamming Light Shot), but they're not as noticeable because you don't have large ground attacks to dodge, you're just avoiding certain Moogles who are capable of AoE. Personally, it's a lot more fun than Ifrit because there's more variables involved and the fight drags on longer than Ifrit since you have multiple enemies to take down.

The ifrit fight is a good example of how laggy this game really is. Don't think SE will make that mistake again until the lag is at least reduced xD

Moogle is a fun fight that you can learn and beat in two to three tries, tbh. You have a nice margin for error and the content is much more accommodating for all classes.

I will give you the biggest tip for this fight: use skype, mumble, vent, or teamspeak. Communication is the key and that's really it.

    Good luck with it!
