    Fisher scrips gear vs crafted + gil making

    A couple of days ago i got my fisher to 70. Spearfishing and all was fun but now i'm going deeper into fishing in aiming to make some money.

    First of all, melded ironworks got me safely to 70 without any fish causing me trouble so far. My problem is, in order to gear up, should i go for the scrips gear then find ways to make gil or find ways to make gil and then go for the crafted gear?

    Scrip farming as a fisher is a pain to be honest since rng is involved but it took me 2-3 hours to get 700 from ala mhigan ribbons. Even if i don't get the proper collectability the fish itself sells really good so it's double gain but do you have any other suggestions for fisher scrip farming?

    I've also noticed new aetherial reduction items sell pretty well (except dawnlight) meaning everdeep. However, best results come from sweatfish which requires the book (1300 yellow scrips). Considering my effort to get my first scrips, this will take some more time.

    So my thoughts rely on:
    1) scrip gear -> gil
    or
    2) gil -> crafted gear

    Let me know of your thoughts,
    Regards,

    I wouldn't bother with the scrip gear. You can get the books with red scrips.
