MCH oGCD abilities not always activating when pressed

    Date & Time: Any
    Frequency: Often
    World name: Any
    Character name: N/A
    Retainer name: N/A
    NPC name: N/A
    Monster name: N/A
Class/Level: MCH, possibly all levels, but especially 60+
    Party or solo: Either
    In-game time: Any
    Area and coordinates: N/A
    Housing: N/A

MCH's abilities that are off the global cooldown can fail silently if used in rapid succession (or sometimes not rapid at all).

Note that I do not have this issue on NIN, which has numerous oGCD abilities as well.

    Steps:
    1. Play a MCH, 60+ for the ideal setup.

    2. Attempt to use several GCD abilities in a row, as often as you can (including attempting to place turrets).

    3. Over time, you will notice that the game will silently fail to execute some of these abilities. I say "silently" because you will press the button, the corresponding icon on the hotbar will flash, indicating that you have pressed it, but the ability will fail to execute.

Ideally, there would be better tracking of buffering of inputs so they'll still activate as soon as possible and in the order they were pressed.

Failing that, however, the game should at least generate some type of error message to inform the player that the ability was pressed but not executed.

Here's a video of it happening twice: Rapid Fire is pressed but fails to execute at 15 sec, Gauss Round at 30 sec.

I've noticed it many times when using rapid fire + reassemble or an ability into Wildfire, making double weaving almost impossible. Ricochet on the other hand for example is much more forgiving.

I don't think it's a big, i think it's part of the animation lock and has been around since MCH release. I used to use Wildfire but find out it never actually started mid-way through my opener, you just have to test what oGCDs work with what without this weird GCD clipping.

If that's going to be the case, though, the oGCD abilities need to temporarily go dark until we can use them again.

The entire purpose of a GCD indicator is so that we know that pressing a button will not activate the ability at that time. Also, pressing a GCD ability while the GCD is still counting down will give us an error message and sound so we know that the last button we pressed did not activate the ability.

This cannot possibly be working as intended. Either buttons that are lit up and look pressable (especially those that flash as though they've BEEN pressed) need to actually activate the corresponding ability when pressed, or we need some form of "animation lock" indicator, similar to the current GCD spinner, that lets us know when pressing a button won't do anything.

Also, I posted a video of it happening twice in slow motion in the OP.

Coming from a game full of restrictive animations, I suppose I never questioned it even as an annoyance.
I'm not sure they would be able to fix it though without causing more problems for MCH and perhaps other classes.. they did sort out ninja and blm procs which changed how every class got their procs.

I hope it gets resolved nevertheless so that hiccups like this can't happen to players who rightfully did activate their abilities..it throws your whole cooldown sync off otherwise.
It's just that from learning the ideal opener and rotation in HW has meant I'm subconsciously aware of which skills can't be double weaved and need some extra space before and after other skills.
