SE, Suggestion for a cumulative tome cap change

Is there anyway SE can make that weekly tome cap of 450 cumulatively increase by 450 each week, so the players who cannot login for a period of time (I.E. Work/school) can still catch up? It would be nice.

And I'm not just talking about the Esoteric Tomes, the Red Crafter/Gatherer Scrips as well please . Thank you.

Example: (after the weekly reset today) it should look like this.
    Esoteric Tomes Cap: 450/900
    Then next week:
Esoteric Tomes Cap: 500/1350 (player farmed 50 Esoterics this week but no problem he can just farm them next week )
    The week after that:
Esoteric Tomes Cap: 700/1800 (player was busy at work and was only able to farm 200 Esoterics this week but thx to the changes he doesn't have to worry about it because he can just catch up next week when he has more free time.)
    and so on...

That wouldn't be so bad. I'd take this for all the silly little caps this game throws at us.

it's 30 minutes to clear an expert dungeon (closer to 20 if you have DPS who can actually DPS). If you can't do that, then I have no idea how you'd manage to ever do 24 expert roulettes on week 3 with the 1800 cap.

Ok, assuming that you que immediately when you sign in, an expert roulette takes approximately an hour. That includes dps que times and having a slow party. Now if you can't spend an hour a day for 6 days a week then I don't think meeting the weekly tome cap is your biggest concern.

Now I understand juggling a job, work, family and a social life and finding time to play a game can be impossible at times, but expecting SE to apply a system just so some people can keep up in gear is kinda of pointless in my book. That would be wasted code. They would just be better off removing the cap .

I have friends who are often tied up at work for 10~15 days at a time. Military people. They have no access to a gaming PC. But once they come off rotation, they can play 16 hours a day for 5 days straight (if they want). Please understand that society is supported heavily by people who work different schedules to the regular office worker.

I disagree that the effort would be wasted, but I agree that removing the cap is simply better.

Wishful thinking to get "rollover" tomes.
As mentioned this has already been asked about quite a few times already.

I think some people really got spoiled for the few months at the end of ARR with 900 Poetic caps, and at the start of HW with Unlimited Law. These were like a treat to reward people who continued playing at the end (catch up / gear up for the expansion), and to entice people to play more at the expansion start.

If you've forgotten we've already been on a capped system for over 2 years already. This small period of a month before and after the expansion is not the 'norm' of the game. I mean, you may not like "the norm", but you'd be hard pressed in going about getting it changed. Most people are just used to it by now.

    This is wrong.
The cap is there to make a "now they are able to have every Esoterics/BlueS/RedS item farmed" point in time. If it was uncapped it would be possible to get a full set in a few days. With a cap it takes several weeks.
A cumulative cap would change NOTHING for people wanting/able to progress ASAP, but it would help people who can't IMMENSELY.

    So why not?

Well, lets look at the root of the problem:
short time players are struggeling to catch up.
long time players are getting everything too fast (clear all within some minutes or hours).

A brickwall does not solve any of those problems expect both will get frustrated.
short time players are still struggeling to catch up...
long time players login, cap and logout waiting for next cap...

Most common solution for this is just like experience points:
The longer you log out, the higher the time you will get "bonus".
This is a proven system seen in many other games!
Even in FFXIV we have something like that, its just sad the blue XP bar does have a max limit...

The keydesign of this system compared to the fatigue system we had in 1.0 and why players suggest and complain since 1.0:
While the fatigue system punish the players who are too fast the other system just doesnt.

    As example experience points:
It is designed to have a curved system, the higher you get, the longer you need for next level up.
If you normally play without any breaks you will have to spend the normal time to get maxed.
If you make breaks and logout there is a "bonus" added to your xp gain and the longer you are away, the higher that bonus becomes or the longer you can use that bonus.
Technically its called linearization: The difference to the new curve becomes the bonus. (math)

Edit: Players tend to finish a class or content before beginning a new one, with brickwalls SE is forcing the players to play other classes before content is finished and that makes organizational matters just more complicated. You will need more lists of what you have and what you need ... While with the fatigue system you could at least play the other class normally, with the tome cap we are blocked out for the week whether we play another class or not. If you play healer, tank and DPS, have fun waiting months to get the gear with tomes! (Some like to have it for vanity - mixed gear just looks ugly!)

It's 3 hours a week to cap your Eso. If you can't play 3 hours a week, you may want to reconsider playing MMOs.

That being said, I don't see any harm in allowing it.
