Just do it. When I watched the video for v3 savage and saw that she could jump to random tiles and each one had a different mechanic it looked crazy daunting and I wasn't sure how well I could learn it. Turns out I just spammed the shit out of the dungeon until it became second nature.
I think in order to learn properly you have to be willing to make mistakes and/or fail. There's a great quote that says "The master is the master because he's failed more times than the student has even tried". So just do it.
Watching videos is only part of the learning process. Sissy told me to explain you basically need to experience the fight a bit. As a healer you need to learn when to cure bomb, when to dps, and when to shield for tank busters (most likely limited to salvage and the like) Also a big thing healers tend to have a problem with is interrupting casting raise to dodge something. I was kicked once for telling a healer they could of moved and not raised a person since that lead me needing to raise the healer in question, ofc I reported kick abuse (and premade on top of things)
Most mechanics are telegraphed and all telegraphed mechanics mean the same thing in every duty. Everything in a fight is fairly self explanatory if you apply critical thinking.
Then again i still watch people run away with stack mechanics.

By trying to remember them.

Watching a video will never be enough in my opinion. It can give you a good idea of what's coming, but until you jump in, you will never know how you will react to certain mechanics.
My tactic? Get in there and practice ^^
Die as many times as needed for you to get a feeling of the fight and how you will react to certain mechanics. After a while, it'll become muscle memory and you'll pretty much be able to do the fight in your sleep. xD
This is what the inside of my head looks like. As I do content that book for it makes it way through the mess rather quickly. Then when I'm done I'll remember it for like 5 minutes after that than forget.
Keep practicing til it becomes muscle memory,Til it becomes instinct.

Just run the fight multiple times and eventually it just happens.
