5 years, and I knew her for 12.. Long story, but atleast she downgraded looks wise, its money that won over me.

Obviously i know almost nothing about this situation in particular,
but there are some universal things...
like, for example, 12 years is a long time.

Given you care, which the picture tells me plenty,
by a rule of thumb i'd say prioritise keeping her IN your life.
Basic sense. if she's in your life, then she's in your life, if not, then you gain nothing except a whole lot of nothing where there was something, which one would think sensibly in this case, is, whatever the content of that something, something good. So troubles come and go, but you keep her around and you'll be happy.

my 2nd rule of thumb, don't be a dumb***
By which i mean, don't ruin a good thing over pride.
You be her friend, you support her and all that.
Maybe romantically you go your own ways,
or maybe this new thing, or whatever new thing she may find goes south,
then as her friend, you're there.
If the opportunity to get back together comes,
and here's where that don't be a dumb*** part comes in,
you take it WITHOUT ANY CONDITIONS.

Of course the other option is to be all romantic by running over to her house and taking her back right now.
Could fail terribly, or could work magic. I'm not recommending that or not recommending that.
i simply don't have any knowledge of this situation to write on that.
but the other stuff i think is pretty universal.
