if they do please do it GRAND and not a backyard football match with the bros, I was imagining something like olimpics or world cup and anyone who was present was varely enough to fill up minfilia's room. I will like to see something like a coluseum similar to paladins UL Cup but more exiting and with more people. I think something atleast bit similar to a tournament arcs from anime show would be really neat I would not mind an entire patch of a grand tournament.

You know what, in Guild Wars 2 they have this seasonal event called the "Queen's Gauntlet," where you face a series of very challenging solo boss battles. It would be very cool to see something similar in FFXIV, if possible.

Stormblood had a handful of fun solo story fights, but they were not really "challenging," more like "this takes a long time because the boss has a zillion HP." With some tweaks, perhaps altering stats according to the player's chosen role, this concept has real potential!
