    SE has no proof that their system works betters then the other way. SEs way allows for millions if not billions of gil to float into the economy. They only remove from the farmer and buyer has on hand. If I sold i500 weapon for 100 million gil on the MB the gil doesn't disappear from me.

    Not to mention the amount of items they put into the game. SE also doesn't take away the gil farmers shards you bought. They will remove a huge swath from the MB though. Always amusing to check the MB after a ban notice and see the person who had a 20 listings of wind shards to vanish. And to go from over a 100 for sale to less then 10.

    This is second hand from some people who still play WoW. But supposedly the base item farming type bots for gold selling are gone. Due to the way the token system works. Still see the odd player bot. But cheaters are always going to cheat.
