I have no idea how to fix Flamethrower and Overheat in general.
some people found good advices about that :

-Heat is a ressource capitalized for maintaining ehanced shot and cooldown usage
-Overheat gives you a meaningfull damage boost during cooldown stacking
=> this should already be the case, I know.
-Flamethrower consume the heat for AOE damage instead of overheating.

Instead of having a FT that is punishing if used between 0 and 95 % heat (due to either having to be clipped at end to avoid OH, or not benefitting of OH bonus because it was triggered before OH), why not making it a tool of heat dissipation ?
