If there was absolutely no stopping then the person next to LNC could just go passive temporarily to run up to or around the mob then go back to active/hit their attack action at the same speed as the LNC.Wow, how literally retarded some of you are. The advantage of Fleet of Foot is not so you can catch up while sheathing weapons. It has to do with your ability to move around in combat faster and reposistion. This is perfectly explained by the entire fact it is put on the LANCER. You know the class with pierces and skills that require positioning, so you can move faster... while repositioning. We're talking about the game stopping movement when you unequip your weapon....
So let's look at this like the mongoloids do.
You are running next to someone without fleet of foot, you both hit active mode, you both stop, the one with fleet of foot runs fast afterward.
Let's pretend you didn't stop.
What would happen, the person with fleet of foot would run faster afterward.
How do you people tie your shoes in the morning? Do you use velcro?
Edit: I felt like I was too rude the first time. I feel like this post is strongly lacking sound judgment.

Are lancers claimers? Why would I even bother with a lancer to claim mobs when I COULD USE AN ARCHER. As I said retards.
Do you not understand the point of Fleet of Foot? Are you that braindead?
What I said had nothing to do with claiming mobs and yes Fleet of Foot increases movement speed while in Active Mode.
I think he mean that fleet of foot would become useless since in battle you could go passive, move where you want to and go back active without any delay. So you'd have the same movement advantage simply by switching back and forth between active and passive.
I agree that it'd render fleet of foot useless. One way to solve that would either to make tp down to 0 when switching to passive instead of just rapid lost or simply to replace fleet of foot by another ability.
As for my opinion about removing the delay, i'm for it, keep everything else related to the modes like the regen in passive but remove the delay.

Alright a more justified reasoning then. That saidm what you stated in bold = the solution to that problem and quite frankly should be the way it is from the start.
Then people will whine about TP loss when going mob to mob if they lack the fleet of foot trait. In that case it goes back to being a highly coveted ability to have.

Isn't that the point of contention? Removing the stoppage of your character while sheathing/unsheathing makes Fleet of Foot useless. If TP goes to 0 without Fleet of Foot, it makes Fleet of foot useful. Hurr durr.
Edit: Point of post isn't about fleet of foot. Fleet of foot was brought up as an ability that will be made useless if removal of stoppage of avatar in world while sheathing/unsheathing was implemented.
The solution mentioned quells those fears, giving justification to the trait, while appeasing the many who dislike the non-fluid gameplay. win-win.
Remove active/passive delays and change LNC trait to something else like increased attack distance as I said before. XD
