I would like this. Stopping in my tracks to get in and out of active mode is annoying and unnecessary.
I remember I mentioned this annoyance in a post I made about improving shields, but I don't think anyone else made a thread about it. /shrug

WOW thanks for all the positive responses!! I certainly didn't expect this to be on the front page a day later. I really hope they can take a look at it when they get time. Thanks for all your support!
you stop for .5 seconds >.> you guys know that right. You run stop for .5 secs as you draw then run.
I played Aion and well every other rpg. ffxi does this too. As there is no way to run WHILE drawing your weapon. You stop just for a bit. Pay attention more. Even WoW does this. You run you stall .5 sec then run. Its quick but noticeable. Elder scrolls does this also. You need to steady yourself and grab hold a weapon. Please in gaming sence running+ drawing weapons is 2 animations. It is hard to run both at ones. So there is a stall.
Get Fleet of Foot. It will appease you at least by 50%.
No.. you dont stall at all in WoW. you can run around all day hitting the z button at the same time and you will continuously ready and sheath your weapon without stopping. I have done it when I was bored... and no Elder Scrolls: Oblivion doesnt do this either, neither do Fallout 3 or new vegas....you stop for .5 seconds >.> you guys know that right. I posted 18 videos that show no stalling of any kind.you stop for .5 seconds >.> you guys know that right. You run stop for .5 secs as you draw then run.

Methinks i've fallen to a troll.
To use your own example in WoW if i run forward and use an instant attack for examples sake Heart Strike, then my weapon will be in my hand and the strike will land without any delay there wont be a weapon draw animation my Troll Death Knight will do the weapon strike animation with weapon in hand, her legs will still be moving.
bow to add if you can't run at all and stop fir a few secons to do it then That is completely different. Just ask for a faster transition between active and passive mode. But there is a stall to draw out your weapon due ti the 2 different animation. You guys may not notice it since it is so quick. Weapon drawing and running are 2 seperate animations and takes .5-1 sec to switch between. Like run> weapon drawn> run.
I been playing games a long time and learned to pay attention to details.
/signed.
Also make this happen for shields too...
Stopping when you drop your shield is dumb as hell also.
