Yes please ! To be able to draw or undraw weapon during a movenet !

LOL, I just figured out that why we have to stop running everytime we draw/undraw weapon. in another game we can do it while running
In relation, I want to be able to cast spells and use abilities without having to take out my weapon (FF11). Actually, I'm not even sure why they need to have an active/passive mode stances. In FF11 it was seamless.
I kind of wish active and passive modes were like WoW. You're passive until you have hate from an enemy. Drawing your weapon doesn't change which mode your in. And while we're at it, I would like it if you could run in active mode as fast as you can in passive mode. I'm really not sure why they have a movement speed decrease in the first place.
Yes I do have a My Little Pony sig because I'm not a complete loser who lives in his own little world, proclaiming something is stupid because I say so.

This, exactly. I saw a lowbie fighting something too strong and went about curing him while playing as pug (cure 2 is equipped). After the fight he thanked me and then said he got kind of freaked at first because my weapons were drawn and he thought i was going to MPK him... lol
You should be able to cast magic (Cure, raise, etc), use Quickstride without taking weapon out. As a Miner, I can use any of the Prospect abilities (Miner's Flee) without ever having to draw my pick axe. So it's clearly not impossible to do this with other abilities.
In FF11 as a mage it was nice to cast spells without going in to battle mode. I miss that.

Oh god yes PLEASE, I can't count how many times i went to cure someone soloing a too strong mob only for then to die because i needed to whip out my staff to cast cure. I'm not a fan of casting with a weapon in hand, I also miss the FFXI casting while disengaged.

I blame the old production team! since they never played ffxi wwwwwlolandstuff.
Why is this NOT automatic?
It's like devolution of game mechanics from XI where this problem doesn't exist.
