Yes I agree completely with this. Switch target would be awesome to have as well.
This has been something many people including myself have been wanting changed since closed beta (maybe even alpha but I wasn't in that test). In my opinion not only should the delay be removed but so should active and passive mode.
Even though it's a few superfluous button pushes, I do like the idea of being able to draw and sheathe weapons at will.
With no active and passive mode, what do you suggest instead? Everyone constantly running around with weapons drawn? That would look silly. ^_^
Active and passive modes are fine as long as it doesn't take so damn long to ready our weapons.
I would suggest keeping the ability to draw and sheathe your weapon (with no delay). I would also suggest a system where any non combative spells or abilities could be used without drawing your weapon, and any combative spells or abilities could be used but will automatically draw your weapon.
I guess in reality the active/passive mode is already fairly close to this, all they would have to do is remove the delay between drawing your weapon, and allow abilities to be used when your weapon is sheathed.
I would like the full 30sec of Quick Stride, not to flee from a battle/aggro but when im running trying to turn in crafting levs w/o using up all my anima
Why do we even have to pull our weapons out to use some abilitys? I.E Quick Stride I dont remember having to pull out a weapon to use flee, cast cure, use third eye..........

Please, please, please change this SE. This is something I suggested way back in the first months of beta. It's a simple fix and it would honestly be a very big change to me. It's one of the most irritating things in-game. There's NO REASON my character should stop charging at an enemy to pause and draw his weapon. FIX IT!!



Let's extend this to not stopping when performing regular attacks or casting minor buffs, it is really breaking the flow of battle when your character suddenly stops while you were trying to evade an attack because you had pressed one time too many on the attack button. Please, more active seamless combat, less stopping to do ANYTHING and less server confirmation checks that lags the game.While we're on the subject of overhauling the battle system, am I the only one that would really, really like to be able to not have to completely stop to draw my weapon or put it away?
I would just love to be able to charge rodent x, draw my weapon and show it the world of pain it clearly deserves with the jarring transition.
Simple request, I would hope simple fix. I don't know if anyone else feels the same.
p.s. I sincerely apologize if this has been posted, I ran a search and didn't see anything, which honestly was rather surprising.
