    Machinist - Wildfire Idea

If I had to pick a DPS class that is THE most fun to play. I'd have to say Machinist hands-down.

With the recent changes I'd still say it is my favorite class to to DPS on. With that said I would love to see it improved.

ONLY discussing wildfire. What if wildfire became an AOE....Maybe something to the tune of:

35% First mob.....25% second mob.....15% third mob....5% the rest. These are numbers I'm just throwing out. Essentially it would be great if it was something that takes advantage of any wildfire rotation someone comes up with spreads it when in group mob pulls and descent in single target situation.

    Thoughts?

I think it'd be crippling hard to try to take advantage of that for a few reasons
    • The mob dies
    • The mobs are seperated
    • If you hold your wildfire for the chance to wildfire an add in a raid and that add dies earlier than expected you'll suffer a loss
    • Wildfire ends up being on cooldown when that add spawns
    • You do your wildfire rotation on an single target in an aoe situation and rip the agro from the tank who's using his AoE threat gain rotation

With the numbers we have on wildfire now you'd be doing potentially really bad AoE and the explosion that may or may not happen wouldn't be able to make up the difference.

What I think we should have for an AoE situation is an AoE wildfire (not attaching it to our wildfire. I mean an actual different ability:
    • Make the notWildfire target mobs in an area or a specific area itself
    • Make the damage done to mobs/area accumulate on all mobs/area
    • Have the explosions blow up in a spectacular fashion.
    • In the case of some mobs dying, the damage they would have taken is distributed to the other mobs/area. (or maybe not, that sounds OP. Maybe it should just be lost)

In this way you can continue doing your AoE rotation, and have a little something extra for doing well. What's more it'd be the perfect ability to use in conjunction with an overheated flamethrower. It'd also give the flamethrower an actual damage dealing dynamic that doesn't first involve you to be overheated to take advantage of. Wildfire covers a single enemy in something right? Wouldn't we be able to apply that to an area?
