That's why I toyed with the idea of a pet class.

Turrets feel like fire and forget DoTs instead of machines we manipulate as part of the core of the class.

That sounds AMAZING, actually.

Wildstar's "Engineer" would also be a pretty good example of a class that uses machines to fight (it actually has two permanent robot pets and can tank).
