Recruit-a-friend to myself

Ok, I'm totally confused. I'm trying to send myself a recruit-a-friend so I can at least get the Amber chocobo and the draught chocobo if I'm able to understand this. I've made a new account, now the only thing left is to register the game. Those of you who have done this, did you have to buy the game again and use the registration code before you could use the recruit a friend and pick how many days you wanted to be subscribed for?

I'm a mount collector and I really want the 2 chocobos and the dragon mount (the one from coils) Wow had this sort of thing but I couldn't figure out how to do it then.

Please help me out, what am I doing wrong here? Thank you

you need to enter the recruit a friend code you get on your main account into the the relevant option on your second acount, its not hard

You have to recruit the other account before you pay any subscription for it, so in the free 30 day period is fine, but once it has game time bought for it, its to late.

* The recruitment code cannot be entered after a subscription has been established. Please be sure that the recruitment code is entered before then.

There is a few ways to go about it, you could;

Recruit real friends from real life and have themuse your codes

Buy multiple copies of the game and registter your codes with them or

Post your friend codes (Generated via the mogstation, just email them to yourself) here http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...nd-Code-Thread

I used the last option, and it did take awhile. It's not instant gratification for sure but if you don't have friends into FFXIV or you don't have money to blow on multiple copies of the game it is a decent option!
