Thread: Dear SE, BLM is great, but please consider the following

My goal is to keep this short and sweet so people actually read it, so here goes:

-Give BLM a 180 second recast off-gcd "Void Raise". This will put it just enough on par with the other casters as far as raising goes and if done right could fit into the lore perfectly (with a little imagination)

-Adjust Surecast so that the caster can move while casting for the 10 second duration, or AT LEAST the Surecasted spell. THIS ALONE could fix BLM's mobility in raid

-Consider ditching Triplecast and instead making it Quickcast, a 20 second recast Swiftcast. Triplecast is too tempting to use for damage to make it usable for mobility.

-Please reduce the recast of Aetherial Manipulation to 20 seconds if not 15.

-Reduce the recast of Convert to 90 seconds, it being 180 seconds is very underwhelming at this point, or give BLM a trait that reduces Convert's recast timer upon successful proc use.




I'll say once more loud and clear, BLM IS STRONG. It just needs better mobility in a raid tier that favors mobility. Please and thank you.



PS: If you're really feeling particularly daring, consider some of my other suggestions:


-Allow for Thunder to be additive up to 60 seconds instead of refreshing the timer. This would help with back to back thundercloud procs, just add 24 (or 18) to the current thunder timer (with a limit of 60 seconds)

-Between the Lines resets Aetherial Manipulation's recast timer

-Make Umbral Heart stacks give +5% damage to the fire spell for which it is used

-Make Umbral heart stacks used on Fire (not Fire IV) be instant cast

-Make Foul instant cast

-Change enhanced scathe to 100% proc chance and change its effect to give you back 1920 MP, in other words, to the MP value you had before the first Scathe. This would balance the fire MP table. Oh and while you're at it, remove Scathe from Sharpcast fuctionality, please and thank you.

-Make Freeze do something useful. Seriously, why did you bother leaving it in the game???? Nothing worthwhile actually binds in normal content.

-Consider making each thundercloud proc reduce the recast timer Ley Lines by 5 seconds
