I'm not focus on Xp alone though.Red Scripts can turn into money or materias etc. etc.

A fair point.

However, if you level fast, it gives you faster access to higher level gear and makes those recipes you could craft for money easier since you're above the recipe level. I'm going to argue it's better to focus on the leveling it's first.
