Where did anyone say that they are rage-quitting over this? Also I am not really sure who would go swimming with long socks? (And I certainly would not party with socks on a beach)

Also most people simply have a problem with it being a reused dungeon gear. Which means that there is a high chance that we wont get the other versions dyeable soon and that people need to buy this one for real life money if they missed the event and want a dyeable version. On top of that they introduced one of the few asian looking unique gear in the cash shop..this could have been a perfect event price.

Naunets reaction was also more because you just wrote that because you are fine with it everyone else should be too. Its fine that you find it nice but not everyone has to be of that opinion.

There was a high chance that we wouldn't get the other versions dyeable soon either way, as we don't tend to get dyeable dg gear until a long time has passed. It's always been that way, there's no reason for it to be different this time. If anything, we were lucky to get it for the event, because this way we could get one of the sets a) early, b) wearable by low level characters, and c) wearable by all classes without the need to level DRG. Perhaps this doesn't affect you personally, but my WHM, BRD, and low level alts sure are thankful for this.

Also, as it's been stated before, asian gear =/= Moonfire. The cashshop outfit we got three months ago is completely unrelated to the summer event and would have never been a proper reward for it.
If you simply want new Asian gear this summer, I repeat that we recently got a new craftable one, which was randomly added to one of the Omega updates. Instead of considering the cashshop set as a possible reward, why don't you consider the recent one as such and simply enjoy it? It was an extra that the devs didn't even have to add, as that was a minor update.

People seem to just want to see the glass half empty. Why not relax and simply enjoy the event, understanding that the devs have never added completely new sets in every event?

But we did not even get the whole set. Like I said its fine if you enjoy it but this is a discussion forum thus people will write if they dislike a decision and if I remember it correctly this is the first time that we got something as a price that is dungeon gear. Also is it that wrong to want all Asian themed gear sets in a partly Asian themed expansion to be part of the game for free? The mog station one is imo way better looking than any of the other Asian ingame items. (The new dress looks horrible on my character with most colors since they make the gear look kinda cheap imo)

Maybe instead of saying that something was always that way thus its fine if it does not change, it would be better to hope that they finally change some things, like giving us dyeable dungeon gear from the start? Yes they will have to make more gear in the next expansion for the dungeons (or maybe mix different gear items together) but seeing how they already re-used lots of enemies (from the game itself and from others) and weapons, one would thing that its fine if they have to create more gear.

I know that moonfire is not necessarily about something from Asia but we got yukatas before so it would not be the first reward that is different. And no I dont really enjoy the new reward because its nothing new. Its a set that I wore for my caster (with small differences) for a long time already so I just put most of it into the chest as soon as I got it (after around half an hour). For me these events are just getting worse each time with less rewards and less things to do. Giving us a dyeable version of a dungeon set is just the top of the iceberg.

For short: They could have given us another unique set for this event if they used the cash shop one for it (instead of selling the very first Asian themed and very good looking set for money) and later give us the complete sets of all this dungeon gear as glamour options which could be part of the crafting books. (Its not like they have a contract that says that they need to wait till the next expansion for the dyeable versions) This way we would have gotten something unique, people would not have needed to pay real money to get that set and those who wanted the dungeon gear to be dyeable could get the whole set too. Win Win for everyone.

With it right now we wont know if they will ever give us a dyeable version of the sets since they will have this one right now, on top of that its not even the whole set and if someone missed the event and they dont give us all sets later (including this one) they will have to buy it for real money. So it might be nice for you but this might be bad for everyone that missed it or joined after this event and wants it too.

Anyway I am just disappointed that an Asian themed expansion has like two ingame craftable glamour sets and one for the cash shop and nothing more.

Oh yass! Those are good variations for each piece. If they are separate sets and we can have both, this will be the first ever male set I farm. My retainer will look fantastic.

Ehh the male is the bad version imo, healing/aiming ones are better.

I didn't say people never asked for it. That still doesn't change the fact it's lazy using a levelling set for an event. They could have easily just made the levelling one dyeable.

Please dont mask your own opinion as fact.

People here are just mad because they think they can demand something unique of a repetetive event. They want something new, they are greedy and not able to appreciate what they get.

No, I said people wanted the shisui set dyeable, as in the dungeon version, not giving up a new reward from moonfire 2017 for it, but you are claiming people actually asked for the event gear to be dyeable shisui, I never saw anyone ask for that.

We got a lot of stuff that was new since last Moonfire. It's literally just one event, and you're going to make a big deal about it?

Could be because they just got here recently and thus have literally no access to most of the stuff you got since last Moonfire because you can't even get stuff in the store - so finding out that the sole option is an outfit they don't want to bunches of other options they MIGHT want but can no longer get even though those options literally exist in game already and code already is kinda ehh feeling?
