The "crafted dyeable version" is still class locked...very few are made into level 1 non-class locked gear it is usually made into "leveling gear" the next expansion or one of the green "tier" crafted sets for a raid patch.I think the only reasonable expectation is that they'd bring something unique to the table - but guess that's out the door now too. lol.
On a side note, crafted Shisui armor would be nice :X The Bard set is actually my favorite style and would love a way to have that on my other jobs.
Wow...they couldn't put a single bathing suit on the Faire Vendor the expansion they add swimming?!?! Talk about greed...
Obviously opinions will vary, but I feel like SE has been incredibly heavy-handed with the cash shop for a subscription game. And normally this is when people will scream that "WoW has had a cash shop for years!" or that times are just changing with MMOs, and both of these are true. The amount of items though, and exclusive items to boot, is insane.
Going back to a post I made in March, at that time, you could buy all of the items from XIV's cash shop for a bit over $990 (this was including only female versions of outfits, single dyes and full sets of items only. No fantasias, world transfers or other "account" items). For comparison, WoW's cash shop at that time could be bought out for about $388.
tl;dr: I agree that SE is incredibly greedy.
My favorite events have always bern the Rising, the Halloween, Christmas, and New Years events in any game I have played. Summer events are fun, but have always seemed lackluster by comparison to others. Still an event is better then no event and I think the people of Eorzea need something to chear them up this time of year, regardless if the gear is recycled models.

Let's all be honest here, all these events that we get gear how many players just add it to the armoire and forget about it? lol
I do agree however that there is large amounts of gear recycling from SE, ARR had some, HW had even more, and now i guess SB is following same route
I have not tried the event itself out yet but feel like those are not exciting like events used to be. Remember the xmas one years ago where there were snowmen in fates and all that?
While i do not agree event= let's tie it to a fate, back then it was actually fun. SE need to bring the fun back in events, they are dull now days

I use the gear from many events, actually. I see plenty of people on my server doing the same with past events items. I have multiple classes and whatnot so it's very, very easy.Let's all be honest here, all these events that we get gear how many players just add it to the armoire and forget about it? lol

I really thought this event was extremely weird. Why the heck was I spying on ladies called "objects" of attention and one was a lalafell. I dunno... couldn't have put an elf there or just another race? Lalafells look like kids and it made me feel weird XD The reward for this event is really bad as well. It felt like they didn't even try... and we get a reskin of shisui of the violet tides's striking set without jewelry. Oh wow...
Then we'd have people complaining about how elezen look like giraffes and how bestiality is wrong.
