What I don't get is why don't they add all the sets as dyable and lvl1 in the event.
Come one SE, don't tellme you were not expected people to like those sets when you added them.....
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
Welcome to the world of SE where many things don't make sense.
One of the thing that annoys me greatly is how they always say they can't give us <insert basic QoL item> due to server space, or how the game reads memory, or any number of similar reasons. But then here they go implementing 2 separate sets of armor/gear for many things. The Shisui dungeon gear should have just been dyeable. Why do we need a practically-identical swimsuit to add to inventory? Then there are all the items on the MB that come in both a dyeable and non-dyeable version. WHY?! And then all the insane amount of tokens and currency that really could be condensed. Lets throw in the various levels of demimateria, glamour gems (although this has been addressed, granted all levels are still in game), dark materia, etc. There is just so much excess fluff that could be trimmed off, but instead they just keep throwing duplicates at us.
Pardon the rant. lol :X
They have a implement now, worry about it another time method, which is very odd.

It does make sense. This way, the sense of novelty and excitement over a certain set is maintained for longer. There is only so many new sets the devs can design each update/expansion (and they do design quite a few, let's not deny that). If they also add old sets with the new feature of being dyeable and wearable by different classes, these old sets also add to the novelty, and thus there are even more glamour pieces to be excited about.
If anything, I think it's a smart thing to do. And considering all the effort that designing each set takes (I believe I read something about 6 months), it's only normal they would want each design not to lose their relevance quickly, and instead be something people can still look forward to in the future.
This doesn't make much sense. Why all of a sudden start reusing dungeon gear that we got literally a month before as event gear to extend the novelty/relevance of it? Also, revealing armor tends to stay popular for quite a good chunk of time. I don't think those swimsuits were going to be falling out of favor any time soon.It does make sense. I guess because those sets would be fitting for the summer event and thus they had planned to use them from the beginning? ;This doesn't make much sense. It saves time and resources that can be placed elsewhere (like the already mentioned Asian glamour set we got in the latest patch).
I'm not sure how you get "novelty and excitement" from an undyeable dungeon set that everyone wears. If everything was dyeable, it would allow for greater variety. Your sentences are really nonsensical. It does make sense. This way, the sense of novelty and excitement over a certain set is maintained for longer.
