Well, instances are back in every zone again and this is frustrating. Honestly only the Lochs could have maybe used instances, but they should only open up when the zone is full. Instances should not be a permanent thing.
It's also frustrating because instances separate us from people in our party and our friends. So please do something about this.
Some suggestions to make instances less of a detriment:
1. Make us teleport to the same instance our party members are in. There is no reason for two people in a party to teleport simultaneously to the same zone and be put in different instances. Joining a party member who is already out there should not be a chore either.
2. When teleporting or using the "no preference option" while zoning in to an instance, prioritize the instance that has friends and FC members.
3. If we are in a different instance than party members, allow us to right click their name in the party list and have an option pop up that says "Join Instance".
4. Allow us to select an instance when teleporting. I can no longer teleport to where I want because I get dumped in a random instance that somehow always ends up being different than the one any of my current party members are in.
5. Only create new instances when the zone is "full" or "congested". Otherwise there is no reason to permanently have 3 instances in every zone. FATEs already started emptying out because less people in each zone. Now I look at some like Ruby Sea and 5 people in each instance. Why? Clearly these are not needed. The only reason Lochs needs it is because of Ixion, which can be solved by having Ixion spawn in any zone in Gyr Abania ala Odin. But otherwise, brand new zones should not look and feel totally empty because what little players are out there are being arbitrarily split up.
I mean when Guild Wars did instances, they accomplished 1, 2, and 3 without issue. Final Fantasy XIV's implementation of instances is very clunky and more of a problem than a solution.
Please take a look at instances and make them actually convenient for players, not a constant source of annoyance and detriment to game play.
Thanks
