Sustain is one of the least worrying issues I have with SMN, personally. Aside from using Titan, my Carbuncle dying isn't particularly an issue I face regularly (Although resummoning is a pain and so harmful on MP)

My main issues with SMN come with the damage output and the general clunkiness of the class. Stacks being lost upon death, Summon being lost upon death, the insane MP costs when compared to BLM/RDM. When just looking at RDM alone, they've taken our main utility (res) and outshone SMN a thousand times with their swiftcasts and a singular Fleche does more than Deathflare (Our main ability) singletarget -- it's rather embarrassing.
