Just wondering if anyone else noticed that the NPC Atelloune is pretty much a spit on ffXIV incarnation of the same character from FFXI! Atelloune resided in Sandoria in the past and studied the wildlife around the world and gave quest in relation to her profession.

Yep I noticed it, I just wondered to myself how many people would go into a blood rage because a XI NPC was referenced, in full and we all know what a sin against humanity it is for SE to do/implement anything regarding their last MMORPG.

The NPCs for the Dungeon and Exploration achievements are also related to an XI NPC... sorta. In XI, all the stone monuments were written by the Ironhearts: First the father, and the later ones done by his daughter.

I find them to be fun little additions! Just hope people wont get too overworked over the matters.

This this NPC the one that gives you the funguar quest? Also it'd be funny to see people getting mad about re-using XI NPCs or whatever since the entire Final Fantasy brand is based around re-using things like Cid, Bombs, Chocobos, Airships, etc.

But they are FF NPC, not FF XI NPC. Now Atelloune is just a FF NPC, too ^^
