But when the event is unfairly balanced that people would rather spend their time doing other things and then pick it up off the mog station (Yo Kai is the only example of this I have btw, for the other events, I haven't minded the grinds involved, such as the smaller doses of FATE farming, but Yo Kai was apparently ridiculous), whenever it becomes available, does highlight a flaw somewhere. Especially when you factor in current prices, the Yo Kai mount will probably be about £7 assuming it follows the same single character bound system as the White Devil/Red Baron. That's less than a month's sub, even at entry level! I can certainly see why it would upset some people, since you can only buy subs in minimum blocks of 1 month.

But Yokai Watch was a crossover event and crossover event rewards are still the exception in the mogstation, and not the rule. I think Lightning gear is the only crossover event reward in the mogstation.
It will be a nice surprise if it show up, but I will not expect it because there are no demanding threads every month about it like it was with Lightning. The demand just don't exist.
And SE don't own Yokai, so it is a matter of if SE is allowed to sell it after the event ended or if obtaining the rewards is limited to the event

There is the issue of "destroyed on pick up" flags on certain event items. Unless someone wants to use certain holiday and event themed furnishings and decor placed forever. A year or two later if they want to use it again. Their only choice is the mogstation.

How about no, they put a decent price on it, it's a year after the event, that's plenty of time for you to flaunt it on your character over new players. They're just meant to be cool little season things.

Back on topic, personally I still think the ideal situation would be one year after X event, X reward would be added to the kupo store and in-game the next time X event roll about again after players completed said event. Say if I missed last year's moonfire event, I can either wait for it to come around this year so I can purchase it in-game with gil, or if I missed it again this year and I don't want to wait any longer or if I just feel like supporting SE financially, I can just purchase it off kupo store with cash.

...but it will never happen, so meh.

As someone said, you get event items for free, while the others have to paid for it.
However, Yokai Watch event and Garo (PVP) event will not be back. (since they are a collabs with other developer/company)

p.s. Those are glamour items, and i have zero problem with other players that get access to it.

There's already a retar......ahem, rare exclusive items such as Squall Outfit for a 1440 days of subscription, we don't need more items like that. (Also, there's Cloud&Zidane outfits too)
I will probably quit the game sooner, than i will obtain Squall's outfit :/

I literally stopped bothering with holidays after year 1 because its a bunch of text wall cut-scenes of nearly identical events with no real world ambiance going on other than a few rushed looking decoration piles in starter cities. Can't we get a special holiday trial, or dungeon remap ,maybe more themed area's changes going on?

I don't care if people get the item even if they didn't participate. Offering it via mog station, gives me later on the possibility to get it for my alts, that I might not have made to that time etc. I don't see any issues with that, however I do have an issue when specific gear/items are offered via Mog Station only, instead of making it an in game event first. But that's a whole different discussion.
