So if you want the fancy glamour of furniture items, you participate.

There is the issue of "destroyed on pick up" flags on certain event items. Unless someone wants to use certain holiday and event themed furnishings and decor placed forever. A year or two later if they want to use it again. Their only choice is the mogstation.
