[Request] Please make event gear harder to get outside of in-game events.

Since people are missing the point I shall place it here. Event items are rewards for participating in the event and actively subscribing to the game. They are the carrot, or positive reinforcement. Putting those items in the MogStation reduces their value as carrots.

Please make event gear harder to get outside of in-game events. Make more of the event gear obtainable only through the in-game events and not through the MogStation.

If you simply *have* to put it on the Mogstation, please reduce the time it is available, and allow 2 year to elapse between the event and it becoming available on the MogStation.

Also, event items from the prior year should continue to be sold in-game during the following year's event, using whatever event currency/token is implemented for the event.

    Reasoning

What is the point of offering event rewards in game to players who participate in an event, if that gear is then later offered to everyone regardless of participation via the MogStation. I believe that event participation would be higher if this policy were implemented.

Also, in a related request, please make events a little more elaborate so that it's not as simple as walking between a few NPCs and talking to them to gain the event item. Please make use of open world content or mini-games to give us something to actually do to obtain the rewards, something that is, more difficult that simply logging in.

Please often complain about limited availability items demanding that they be placed on the MogStation. I feel though that giving in to that demand actually diminishes the in-game events. When these items remain difficult or impossible to obtain, players a re encouraged to participate in the events themselves to get the items. Players need to be subscribed to participate, so I feel that reducing event reward item availability and making it more exclusive to the in-game events could have a positive impact on subscriptions as well as event participation rates.

Please prevent in-game event reward items from being listed on the MogStation so that they can only be obtained via in-game events. Alternately, please delay their introduction on the MogStation by two years from the original event instead of one, and only sell them during the time the related even it running in-game.

Huh, I always through that the idea was you snooze you lose. So if you want the fancy glamour of furniture items, you participate. Free itself is relative since I pay a subscription, and in order to play the events I must be subscribed.

There is the issue of "destroyed on pick up" flags on certain event items. Unless someone wants to use certain holiday and event themed furnishings and decor placed forever. A year or two later if they want to use it again. Their only choice is the mogstation.

most things you get from holidays get "unlocked" for purchase from the calamity salvager for repurchase as long as you got one of them.

How I wish that works for furniture as well.

Back on topic, personally I still think the ideal situation would be one year after X event, X reward would be added to the kupo store and in-game the next time X event roll about again after players completed said event. Say if I missed last year's moonfire event, I can either wait for it to come around this year so I can purchase it in-game with gil, or if I missed it again this year and I don't want to wait any longer or if I just feel like supporting SE financially, I can just purchase it off kupo store with cash.

...but it will never happen, so meh.

Well, given the prices they charge, they're not that much tbh. So I can understand why she might say that. Let's say the past event orch rolls, which are I think £1.19, cost £1'190'000 (yes, almost £1.2m), then this would be a better perk.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

Look at me, I want to be a special snowflake and not let anyone else get items that were of trivial difficulty to get anyway.

How about no, they put a decent price on it, it's a year after the event, that's plenty of time for you to flaunt it on your character over new players. They're just meant to be cool little season things.

But here's the thing, the Yo-Kai event (which let's be fair, is likely to end up on the mog station at some point), I was around for it. But I didn't think it worth participating in it. I was of the mindset of "If it comes to the mog station, I'll pick up bits and bats then, if not, no skin off my back", because of the intense FATE grinds it involved. Now, if the prices were jacked up considerably (by a factor of at least 10), then it would change my mind. And I'm usually one to partake in events, and not afraid of a grind. But the rewards themselves, knowing maybe 5-10 years down the line they might go on the mog station, figured "I'll pick up what I want then." I didn't want to do the extreme grind for the Yo-Kai stuff to get both mounts (which from what I hear, was a ridiculous grind that is on relic weapon levels).

Also, let's bring up RuneScape as an example again. If you miss an event, you will NEVER get those items. Period dot. They don't offer them the following year, they don't put them on a cash shop. To quote Kosmos, "You snooze, you lose".
