One step forward two steps back seems to be the trend.

It seems like every time they add something to this game or try to make things better they also add something else that makes it just as mad as it was in the first place

    Examples:

People wanted dungeons so they add raids, but then they add materia so gear and weapons from the raids are all but useless.

They add ifrit battle, but make loot system so bad that you need to do it 200+ times to get all weapons.

People complain that you need to do ifrit so many times so they add items to trade for weapons, but dont adjust the battle so it can be done with the new battle system.

People complain that the mage weapons from primals are useless because the stats dont really help the jobs. They comment saying they are going to change ifrit weapons for mages, but all they did was make melee ones better effectively, and dont learn from their mistake by making moogle weapons similar to ifrit ones.

People want Beastmen strongholds with gear. They add strongholds and chests but make the system of obtaining the gear extremely rare, and make the gear from the chests about as useful as the raid gear.

People complain that all mages are just healers, so they get rid of THM ability to cure and make them nukers, but they MP cost of spells and lack of MP recovery abilities make it so one combo takes half of your MP.

People complain that you cant get company seals if you already did the original quests that netted you a lot of seals, so they add more ways to get seals but they increase the amount of seals for promotions to get decent items (not decent if you have materia) and dont let you get more than 500 seals and hour. so it would take 10 hours to get one sergeant piece of armor.

There are probably more examples of things they "Fix" but then nerf later or simultaneously. I dont know i get excited for updates and it seems i am always let down by the final product. The only really good things they have added since 1.18 was the chocobos and airships IMO.

Hey, at least it's not a 3 day wait for NM to pop with entire server camping against you. I am looking at you 3 kings in FFXI.

well waiting 24 hours for a pop for something that was really really good, something that you cant get anywhere else might be worth the waiting. the gear u camp now is only good if ur broke and cant afford to buy materia

    completely agree.

i feel that 1.19 was a step in the right direction, and 1.20 is 2 steps back

I still don't understand the purpose of distorting the DoMs but if the jobs fix that somehow then it would be fine for me. I just wish they would have done these things at the same time so we don't have a half finished system until then.

But if you could list the things you like and don't like about 1.2 it would help.

    I agree, though.

Like: new action interface, combos (if only limited; they're a good idea), balancing; buffing archer (if only too much)

Dislike: extreme simplification of classes, unclear relations in DoM spells, removal of most actions (again, if jobs fix this then they should have done these things at the same time), longer CDs and removal of non-TP dependant abilities, removal of the possibility of efficient class action combinations
