Hello everyone. As of today, I decided to dedicate some time to mentor roulettes. Not only because I do like to help people, the mount you receive after an incredible 2000 mentor roulettes is a nice touch. That being said, I really have some complaints about the current state of the Mentors themselves and the roulette. First of all, the requirement for becoming a mentor should change. Leveling to 60 with a tank, a healer and a DPS while having received 300 commendations and completes a set amount of dungeons in no way or shape indicates that somebody is capable. I can not stress this point enough. I have encountered so many terrible mentors in this game while leveling classes, that it's a shame that such distrust has been brought to the mentor community because of these people. It's plain and simple, becoming a mentor should not be for everyone who wishes to be one. You can for example have another requirement in the mentor house because you can become one.


A creative way would be to make mentors have to beat a striking dummy timer for healer, tank and DPS. Additionally, there should be special instances that you have to clear which show you capable of healing. I can't come up with concrete plans, so feedback would be nice. But you should be able to prove that you are a master of this game.

The mentor crown should not be available from the start. Once you have completed all the trials that show you are capable of becoming a mentor, you should simply unlock mentor roulette and earn the crown after you have completed a set amount of them.
For me it makes sense that you unlock the crown after having completed 500 mentor roulettes together with the title "Mentor of Mentors".

Mentor roulette in itself is also a very unattractive thing to do because it rewards the mentor so little. You could give more gil upon completion, or give mentor tokens for exclusive rewards such a clusters, or minions, or anything that might make it more attractive. Of course, don't make the rewards attractive to the point that it becomes more sufficient to do mentor roulettes for clusters instead of hunts and leveling. It should still take some time before you get rewarded. For example, ten mentor roulettes cleared gives you enough tokens to buy one cluster.

And finally, please remove extreme primal instances from Mentor Roulette. They very seldom have a happy ending. You are not guaranteed that the people can communicate with you, which they often don't and ultimately the chances of getting a clear are very rare. It's much more efficient for people who are looking for an extreme clear to go to PF and search a Khloe party. Extreme primals have no bearing on the story, they are not needed to progress it, they serve no purpose to to get outdated weapons and mounts that new people should not be worried about anyway or mentors there to help them get it.

So, to summarize. Make mentor roulettes more rewarding, and make being a mentor harder at the same time.
