Now, I haven't levelled Paladin to 70, so I'm just going by what I see bounced around on the forums.

But as far as I can tell, Paladin has one edge over the other two tanks, and that's the fact they aren't nearly as heavily punished if the boss has to be moved, because their "burst" phase is long range. DRK can't build it's Blood gauge nearly as well when they have to break off, and it absolutely destroys Warrior if mechanics force them away from the boss during IR.

So Paladin, even if all utilities were removed or moved into role actions? Still has a good head start on other tanks.

From what I can see at the moment (im still in the process of leveling PLD, but im taking that rather slow), the tanks seem fairly equal on all grounds except for Utility. Surely, depending on the fight, one tank might be better suited than the other, but that would make people either switch between classes for fights or commit to a class and make it work.

Homogenization is an issue, yeah, though, I believe there should be a way to make every tank play differently while making their performance equal, creating a true "play what you prefer playing" kind of mindset for the players.

Hm, if we give PLD a gap closer for further homogenization, then we might have to adjust Holy Spirit range a bit, but otherwise, you do have a good point there. If all tanks were equal we might as well just throw it all into 1 class and call it a day, that would make the game indeed rather boring.
