Gambler's Crown

For those of you that want to get Gambler's Crown (I almost had it tonight) here is the easiest method that I have found.

1. Synth Brass Rings (2 Brass Nuggets) and Spiritbind these.
2. They will nearly all turn into StrI or MndI materia's.
3. Mine Carbonized Matter (+5) at Horizon and you can use the copper to make Brass Nuggets.
4. Make Gloves for STR or Helmit for MND... I just made whatever I had mats for.

Percentages:
2-Slot will be 40-42%
3 Slot will be 35-38%
4 Slot will be 25-30%
5 Slot will be 18-23%

This is most likely the quickest and easiest way to get Gambler's Crown as you can bind 4 Brass Rings at a time, and their tendency to always yield MND or STR materia.

I got the Quadruple achievement today and failed the 5th with 21%, but I am certain following this method it won't take more than a few days to achieve.

I've been using high level LTW gloves and helm's since I have lots of mats, and my LTW is 48 so it helps level it some too and helps it feel less like grinding.

Do bone rings also yield STR and MND 1's consistently? It would be interesting then that perhaps all low level rings would work. I found Brass give STR about 45%, MND about 50% and then other random stuff only 5% which makes it perfect for gathering large amounts of the same materia to attempt.

Correct, but incorrect. You can get any materia based on its slot, yes, but certain materia has higher chances of showing up from certain items.

Out of 64 Brass Rings I have gotten:

27 STR 1
32 MND 1
2 Hells Fist 1
2 Heaven's Fist 1
1 Aurelia's Kiss 1
1 something else, forgot

As you see Brass Rings have a HUGE tendancy to yield STR and MND materia which makes it perfect for this particular achievement.

How long does it take to spirit low lv rings?
I've been trying a while but not managed to get past 4 always fail 4th meld.

They bind in about 50-60% of the time it takes to bind a L45+ item.

Actually, any rings will yield STR and MND => The cheapest you can buy from NPC?
Bind the lvl 1 materia on Lvl 40+ equips for better chances. I found that you get lower chances on lower band equipment.

Not true.

My own data from gemm-ed rings are:
Rings are 40% STR, 40% MND, 5% ATK, 5% Magic Potency and 3.33% for the rest.

What is the cheapest high level hands/head piece to craft or buy for throwing all these materias onto?

Blacksmith hammer can attach both mnd/str materia. Might suck if you can't make them yourself though.

Any ring will drop a lot of mnd/str no matter what type/level it is.
