No, you don't. There is more than 1 WoL. Many instances where you fight a primal, you are told to go gather some adventures (other WoL) to help you with the battle.

I heard somewhere the lorebook says otherwise, so the canon could be questionable there. For instance: why don't they show up in or around cutscenes? For specific fights it also makes no sense for you to not be solo--like against Ramuh. Where'd you get the 4 extra "WoL" to fight the final boss of SB? (I say 4 due to having a 4 man dungeon immediately preceeding--though your three friends are mysteriously gone as well) You are definitely canonically solo against the HW final dungeon and boss.
EDIT: The lore does point out you're not the only one with Echo, but again, having a full party of eight in a lot of those instances...doesn't make a lot of sense.
The other Warriors of Light are referenced by Mimodi if you start in Uldah. She mentions the heroes that saved them previously (1.0 players). The Warriors of Light from 1.0 still exist and the cinematic at the beginning of 2.0 shows there are more than one.I heard somewhere the lorebook says otherwise, so the canon could be questionable there. The canon on this is not questionable. The game straight up says there is more than one Warrior of Light. Game trumps lore book.

Momodi (and the NPCs at the other adventurer guilds) mention brave adventurers who fought at the Battle of Carteneau in an attempt to prevent the calamity, they are commonly referred to as the 'Warriors of Light' because no one is able to remember them properly and instead when trying to recall them see only silhouettes surrounded by bright light. The other Warriors of Light are referenced by Mimodi if you start in Uldah. Your character ends up as the replacement for these Warriors of Light (except legacy players, who I believe get slightly different dialogue.)
Echo users are reasonably plentiful though, more adventurous echo users should for the most part not be that far away from us capability wise. You do after all tend to take 7 of them with you when fighting Primals.

The innkeeper of your starting city-state says that they were given the title Warrior of Light, meaning there were, not that there are. At this point the title exclusively refers to the person with the Blessing of Hydaelyn, of which there is only one. There are plenty of other Echo users, but not other Warriors of Light. The other Warriors of Light are referenced by Mimodi if you start in Uldah. Even if the lore in both is written by Koji Fox? Also lets not forget that it also depends on the language. And we know that canonically we did Azys Lla completely alone which means that we defeat Regula, the whole dungeon, two Ascians and Thordan and his 12 knights alone. And lots of other primals do not make sense with other people there. In the end everyone can interpret it how they want but its definitely still questionable.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
