Based on the Warriors of Darkness story, my theory is that the Voidsent we see are actually from their world. For example, the Void Monk enemy, which is an Octopus/Squid like creature. Could have been a Monk on their world, and ended up corrupted by the void. So it could possibly end up us having to travel to a completely different world for that(if it's the case...never did research the lore on those yet).

Actually if you do the Warring Triad questline it's stated that the Voidsent come from a separate world entirely, one that unlike the Warrior's of Darkness was plunged entirely into dark rather than light. You even get to meet a survivor who states that that world BECAME what we now know as the Void, and that all manifestations of it in this world are from there.
