What type of regions would you like to see for 5.0?

So with Heavenward we had snow/sky regions, with Stormblood we had mountains/grass plains/water regions. As the title says what type of regions would you like to see for the 5.0 expansion?

I personally would like a whole expansion based on Jungle regions like the FFXI final expansion. While we do have one some small jungle in this game I feel like it would be a great opportunity for when we go to Meracydia. I also think a proper desert region would be nice too, we get a small one but I think it would be something different and refreshing from what we are used to.

Anyways back to the point of the thread what type of regions would you guys like to see in 5.0?

Thavnair or Meracydia, mostly for delicious lore dumps rather than any actual preference towards how it will look. I'm fine keeping Garlemald on the backburner for awhile.

I'd actually like an area based around the Void (not meaning the whole expansion based on it though). Surely with all these creatures that seem to be able to tap into it has to be one area that is completely screwed up because of it.

I really liked the time travel of Wings of the Goddess expac for ffxi, I think it would be really cool to see areas linked to the War of the Magi in the first(?) astral age. or maybe the apocalyptic landscape right after the calamity.

I want at least one zone to be a ruined city filled with undead horrors and other bizarre monsters. Like Lea Monde in Vagrant Story or the Necrohol of Nabudis in FFXII.

I'd also like another 'futuristic' zone like Azyz Lla. Something similar to Midgar from FFVII when we go to Garlemald would be awesome, too - though I'm only interested in heading deeper into Garlean territory if the intention is to make peace. I have no interest in further war with Garlemald. I wouldn't be opposed to a city like Archades from FFXII for Garlemald, either.

War of the Magi was in the 5th Astral Era. That said, I wouldn't mind being able to see Nym, Amdapor, and Mhach in their glory days.

Based on the Warriors of Darkness story, my theory is that the Voidsent we see are actually from their world (edit: from their respective worlds). For example, the Void Monk enemy, which is an Octopus/Squid like creature. Could have been a Monk on their world, and ended up corrupted by the void. So it could possibly end up us having to travel to a completely different world for that(if it's the case...never did research the lore on those yet).

The Warriors of Darkness come from the 1st Reflection, which was being lost to Light. So, no voidsent would come from it.
Voidsent come from the 13th Reflection, which was lost to Darkness.

Actually if you do the Warring Triad questline it's stated that the Voidsent come from a separate world entirely, one that unlike the Warrior's of Darkness was plunged entirely into dark rather than light. You even get to meet a survivor who states that that world BECAME what we now know as the Void, and that all manifestations of it in this world are from there.

Edit: Vexander beat me to it lol
