Is it just me or the people in this game aren't really talkative?
I've been playing for four days now in Ul'dah and hardly I see anybody chatting in town. At least not in public.
I think this silence feels strange and intimidating.

PLing really killed the shouts for parties. It may also be the Holiday season. Or the fact that Christmas is just around the corner!
I understand.
I just felt a great difference from the last game I played one year ago, Mabinogi, where there is always people chatting in towns.
I wouldn't have any problem regarding LinkShells if I were an active player. My playing time is really random so I can't take any greater responsability.
The game is great, though. I'm having fun with the mainstream quest and with the grinding thing.
Thank you for your attention! Merry Christmas!

I feel the exact same way Artie. I even came from the same game but never really was one of the people talking... does seem dead silent but if you actually say "Hi" to someone that isnt afk, theyll usually respond and be friendly (haven't found any pricks yet).
