Lack of FF8

Since no-one's said it yet, I'll post what will be the most unpopular opinion here.

VIII was shit. Better for them to work around it rather than add more from it.

While I like many things from 8, I'll admit magic draw was a terrible idea, since using spell stock lowered your stats, and the constant micro-managment was terrible.

Huh... actually, magic draw might make an interesting take on "blue mage" for FF8. Give each enemy category a spell flavor, and make the effects mimic the monster drawn upon. Maybe too similar to the current Red Mage, though.

Well that was a lengthy read, though I had heard of it, actually does make sense to me unless you want to just go with the GFs wiping memory.

If they pay more homage to FF8 in the Omega boss fights, I'd really like one of them to have a dog launcher. We could pick up a Sheltie and fire it from our wrist rocket into the boss to defeat it.
