Lack of FF8

Isn't one of the Magitek FATEs based on the spider machine from the FF8 cutscene? It looks pretty much like it, I thought it was tribute to FF8 when I saw it.

I suspect they keep the FF7,8,9 and 10 bosses and references for later down the line. We already got some but nothing like the old FF's which are being used must more heavily. They will keep adding more and more down the line.

Omg yes to this!! I always told my friends why no more FF8 references?! FF8 is my favourite, I'm glad I'm not alone<3. I'd scream like a fangirl if they added Ultimecia in Omega or her castle as 24man or something FF8 related in relevant battle content. And yeah I noticed the Gargantua references but kinda disappointed they are just normal mobs

They actually annoy me because they should be called "Visage", I wonder if we will get the actual Gargantua as a dungeon boss in the future

There can't be a "lack" of references, since they are simply a bonus to FF14.

I may have misspoken but I'm referring to the disparity between the amount of love given to certain entries and not others (FF5, FF6 and FF3 come to mind).

Except that there is more content to come each year, which means they just cant hand out all things at once. Be patient, stuff will come. Just because its not here YET doesnt mean its not going to come. You demanding things to come NOW is neither realistic nor reasonable.

You make it sound like its not in the game cause they dont want to have it / they hate it. Which is - honestly - not thoroughly thought through.

OP, they added the boss X-ATM092 into the story of HW. I can confirm sadly that the tricks to avoid fighting him more than once doesn't work.

If we do go to Garlemald I would love for it to be a big reference to Deling City. It should have a very urban feel.
