    New monitor, has little squares/ boxes on textures

    Hello, I just bought a new monitor (ASUS VG245H) and have the following "issue";
    The grass has little boxes or squares on it if you zoom in, and sometimes the characters are like that.
    Here is a picture
    http://imgur.com/a/GzQxS (you have to zoom in to see)
    It also happens the first time I log in and the character sprite loads up (just for a split second before it loads)
    Sometimes I see characters being transparent and boxxy like that.

    My graphics card is Nvidia GeForce GTX970, and the OS is Windows 10 64bit
    This monitor is a lot brighter that the previous one I had, so it might just be my first time noticing it because of that. (The screen is slightly bigger as well)
    How would this issue be called? Also, is this normal or just me? I play the game on max settings.
    Otherwise, the game looks very pretty!
    Thanks for reading

    It's normal. It's called aliasing. If you have a decent graphics card, you might play with the anti-aliasing options to reduce this. It was there on your old monitor, but as you say, it's alot brighter, and probably sharper, and if it's larger too, then thats why you'd notice it. The bigger your display is, with the same resolution, the more aliased games will appear.

    Games are created using polygons, which are basically squares stacked on more squares. Like if you wander around the black shroud, and zoom in on the tip of a star marmots tail, or your own tail, if you have one, you will notice that it looks like a line of moving squares stacked on more squares.

    Thanks, that's what I thought too
    I'll try to see if my graphics card settings has anything I can use.

    The game has anti-aliasing (AA) settings in there somewhere. You will have broader options in your nVidia control panel, get here by right clicking on your desktop. AA may hinder performance some, but you can play with these and find the best option for you. AA is used to smooth out blocky edges.
