The only sensible proposals I can see here are the CD reduction for Tempered Will (60-90s would be fine) and Bulwark (2m to make it always pair up with Awareness).
I agree that PLD's gauge is boring but tying it into other job elements would bring more problems than it would fix, and gating utility behind tank or DPS stances will only make things uncomfortable for a toolkit that is already pretty stiff in its rotation.


Oh I had forgotten about that. And even IIRC too, even in 1.x it seemed like just a half-hearted carry-over from XI's VIT-based Spirit's Within weaponskill, which made PLD AF1+Joyeuse an interesting build. In that case HP scalar should be an increase to damage, like Upheaval is (apparently?) for WAR.
Hell with Plunge at 30s and Onslaught at 15s I think 60s recast isn't asking for much either. How about 30 ;3 I guess there could be too many trial knockback/falloff mechanics that could be cheesed though (assuming TW even works in those instances)..

Thanks for the update I had no idea why Spirits within had the HP component, the potency of the attack isn't high. Since it's holdover I have no idea why they would still keep it in game, since it servers no real purpose.

I feel like Shield Oath should build oath gauge for something other than attacks blocked, since Sword Oath gauge is based on something you'll be getting consistently through the fight, but blocks are random at the end of the day.
I mean, you could tank in Sword Oath, but you could also forgo awareness as a roleskill. Just because it can be done, doesn't make it a good idea for a learning party.

They probably haven't thought about it. Either that or they want a (hard to balance) penalty on it while tanking. Iirc it bottoms out at 100 potency so there's a pretty significant penalty for using it that low, but it might be more interesting if the scaling on it was more dramatic so that you REALLY wanted to be full HP to use it.
