Shows they need to spend more time irl, more time in the game or move on imo, these should go after payment because it doesnt look like the OP will play after payments starts, becaus he must have that many gripes with the game to complain at this.
it's the first time i use this now-old-meme, but actually fit:What does it say about the graphics performance of the game engine when the dev post a semi promotional shot of the game with no AA, Depth of Field and Ambient Occlusion.

On the note of the new graphics engine can the dev team elaborate what they are changing other than displaying more characters and better scaling of visual fidelity for low end computers.
"Once ago i posted anger on a forum. Then i took a DEV on the knee"
i can run it on full spec @1080p, so im pertty sure they can.
Yeah... even I think that's kinda complaining about the sake of complaining.
I think it says something about the inefficiency of the current graphics engine if a dev or community rep needs to post their shot with a lot of the bells and whistles off (like how most of us play) though. Maybe they forgot, I dunno, but they're playing with the same settings I'm playing at - no AA, AO off, DoF off.
Here's hoping 2.0's graphics engine makes better use of PC technologies. Maybe support for DirectX 11? Please?

Untrue, I can already run it at max settings. I just need another EVGA Geforce GTX580 3GB and I'll be running it at max settings within optimal FPS range.
Anyways, I agree with a lot of other posters about this - this is the most obvious proof out there that people are going to bitch about anything FFXIV.
Yeah it's beyond possible, but Ambient Occulation is bugged in the client itself, so no matter the setup, the bugged nature of AO will hinder performance on any rig, it varies from rig to rig, but it does hurt your performance. I don't get a huge slow down with it on, but I also let CCC handle certain AA features, so I'm not sure how the client AA is.Untrue, I can already run it at max settings.
