It is a rather serious condition though because serious Autism may lead to people literally murdering other people for small reason by completely over exaggerating what really is happening.

So, You're in effect labeling all autistic individuals as potential murders by virtue of their condition? Well, OK then, lets see, murders have been committed by men, women, football fans, basketball fans, baseball fans, soccer (also football) fans, snooker fans, football players, baseball players, smokers, drinkers, users of recreational drugs, depressed people, angry people, sociopaths, psychopaths, people under duress, etc - the list is quite literally endless. That doesn't even include all the murders by criminals and terrorists and for that matter the casualties of war which are considered by the victims families to be murders also. Should we label anyone in one of those groups as murderers? Oh, video game players also...

The irresponsible nature of your remark about Autism actually offends me, as does the ignorance behind it.

Of course in their minds they think they did the right thing but in reality their ability to handle things rationally is more difficult than certain people would normally handle things easily brush off.

All you're talking about is diminished responsibilities and judgment issues which 100% of the population will at sometime suffer from.

You need retract your remark about Autistic individuals and apologize, it was uncalled for and is offensive.

One more thing. The kind of ignorance displayed in this topic is what got a care worker, trying to help an autistic young man who was sitting in the middle of the street with a toy truck in his hands, shot by the police. Police who were too freaking dumb to understand that a care worker who was laying prostrate as ordered by the police is not a danger, and a toy truck is a toy truck. The level of ignorance among the general population about autism and the impact it has is amazing to me.

Exactly. The autistic people on this forum are almost certainly going to be on the high functioning end of the scale. We can mostly function in society, but we often do need a little extra support. With me for example, just being straight and upfront with me is all you need to do. Example today: Someone said they felt I was stalking them. Clear message sent. I left them be (I hadn't realised I was making them feel that). Few hours later, we've now been back in game doing stuff together and having a blast. That clear communication meant I could understand what has happened, and resolve it.

Let them seek professional counseling, unless they're making threats to self-harm, in which case discreetly alert a moderator. If you're not trained for this, your well-intentioned advice could be disastrous. And if you are trained for this, then you already know better than to offer your services on a video game forum.

Agree with this completely, this is a good point... first and foremost get professional help, forums like these aren't good for you if you're not in a good place mentally.... and put individuals on ignore, left-click on name then "add to ignore list".

There was an excellent thread a few weeks ago suggesting an option to turn glamours on or off as a menu option for people who do not like disrupted immersion. I think that seems like the most solid solution to make everyone happy.

Hi, nice to meet you everyone. Yunao, I remember you, I happened to be in that instance as things went down.

And honestly what went down was somewhat bizarre. Somebody in that party, bored by the grind I assume, started some banter and made a comment about "hey you forgot to put some clothes on" or something. Some of us kept replied in tone, and I remember saying specifically "eh, it's summer, let the healer dress how they want". And all of a sudden you wrote, in full caps, "THEN KICK ME OUT" or something. And after we said "what are you saying, of course we're not gonna kick you for that" you logged out in the middle of the fight.
Which pretty much sucked, but whatever we managed to win anyway and we went on our ways.

...and then I open the forums and find this lol. Sorry if anybody had an unfair behaviour in that party it was you. Whatever was said was said without malice, while you left mid-fight bringing half of the heals and a limit break bar with you.

EDIT: I realize I wrote this without a shed of proof. I asked to a friend who was farming with me, they happened to still have the log from earlier. You can be the judge I guess. And although I'll agree that not anyone might like it or find it funny, this is far from the relentless harrassment evoked by OP that would motivate somebody to quit a game. Nor to open a witch-hunt thread on the forums to publicly denounce what happened. :|
