Hmm losing will to play... any tips?

Dude, just take a break from the game. I do it all the time. Gaming is an activity made for Relaxing. If you don't have that relaxing effect anymore it's just a huge waste of time and you could, as you named it, use the time better.

When you reach that point and it's not as fun anymore, taking a break from the game until the next patch will usually do it.
Of course it also depends, for me I honestly feel the same way but it's the friends that I'll have around that make it somewhat more entertaining, even if it's just coming on to goof off with them.

Take a break for a few weeks. Do anything long enough and it starts to feel like a chore.

Stormblood is worth one month of playing. Since you can clear savage so quickly now, it actually means that you could do everything in a month. Then after that, it's just repetitive farming for tomes/gears weekly doing the same thing over and over again. Starting next week, there will not be any significant new content until 4.1 in two months. So for $40 + $15, I've got to enjoy one month of playing Stormblood. Not bad I supposed. It's just like playing a new game. I'm going to stop for 2 months until 4.1 comes out, then resub for another month and so on and so forth.

My solution was to quit.

I really miss the engagement that TERA had in relation to tanking, because I would do the same dungeon everyday and still have fun. But here it's like meh the boss just autos you most of the time and uses tankbusters at certain times, and you just pop CDs for that.

In TERA, the DPS got bored before I did lol.

The moment dailies begins to feel like a "chore," STOP and find something new to do. Capping everything every week can be very exhausting and mind numbing and it begins to become unenjoyable. Find a new activity or take a few days/weeks break to rejuvenate. Nothing wrong with that, and there's no such thing as "falling behind" per se, since everything eventually becomes outdated. Once you accept this as truth, you'll find the game a lot more fun.

Forcing yourself to play the game when you're not interested/bored is always not good.
Go on a vacation (it's summer!), play other games, or just chill out in movies with friends.
