The effort did mean something when the reward was relevant.

Modern MMOs favor vertical progression, and that's just how it goes. If the achievement was worth it / meant something to you at the time, I really don't see what the issue is.

Square Enix has already confirmed Super Savage, so it is coming. If you are among the first to beat it, that is awesome! If it takes you two years to beat it, that's fine too. None of our pixels are going to matter at some point. The most important thing is that we are having fun now.
