    WHM Melds

Can anyone suggest some melds for a mix of i320 Omega and 320 crafted gear for a WHM who does non-savage content (I use my PLD for that typically). Is some Direct Hit on melds still a good thing? Just wondering what sub stats to focus on for my WHM melds, thanks!

DH helps your DPS, but does absolutely nothing for healing. Personally I avoid it for that reason, but if you want the biggest DPS boost you can get, going full DH should provide it.

Crit, Spell Speed, and Determination all help both, in different ways. Crit will give you bigger numbers and proc Secret of the Lily II, if you care about that, which I find is nicer when doing multi pull tank heals ( as a Cure 2 crit is really noticable), but less so on AoE healing because you won't crit everyone and thus might need a second heal anyway. Determination is a straight increase to everything you do, so it's reliable. Spell Speed lets you get off spells faster, which is handy when you're running around a lot.

Piety gives you more MP. WHM MP is already pretty good, so generally speaking this isn't favored. If you are having MP issues it may be more interesting to you, but that could also be an issue of just not using Lucid Dreaming and Assize often enough.

Given that, it depends on your style and what you'd like to increase. There isn't really a single optimum way to meld WHM unless you have a more specific goal in mind.

It completely depends on how you heal when it comes to healers.

For me I use Critical Hit and Spell Speed.

The occasional hard hit and fast heals which lets me heal and dps more.

Don't we need a lot of DH to make it worthwhile?

Critical and spell speed. Still not enough numbers on det to safely meld it. Crit/spell speed I sustain 8-9k hps

If your doing non savage content (or savage at higher gear levels) you can meld however you would like. That level of min/maxing will not come into play unless doing savage content while gear levels are on the lower side.

1 big DH meld is wise simply to unlock the ability to DH in the first place. Beyond that, crit seems to be the favoured secondary at the moment, it's very possible to hit 2k+ at the moment which is a pretty nice figure to have. Outside of that, it's pure personal preference, I'm currently leaning towards piety on the left and VIT on the right but that'll likely change as I hit BiS for this tier.

I tend to Meld Crit, Det/SpS and then a bit of Piety. However, I've also been melding Crit since HW, before SotL2. so it's just a bit of a bonus that now my habit of melding Crit is doing something. Higher Crit = More Crit heals = Less healing needed & Possible more Crits on my throwing of stones.

Regardless of how crit is giving more averaged eHPS, i prefer going for spell speed for consistency and ability to respond better to emergency. Healing in FF isnt like WoW where healing pattern is more gradual. FF damage received pattern usually tie to how well other class dodge mechanics and healing is like playing whack-a-mole trying to heal that fella that fail to dodge, its not always the same person and its pretty unpredictable. Spell speed help better in that regards.

    that trait is trash

it's a 20% chance AFTER whatever crit%, based on two spells (one which is rarely used and the other one you don't want to spam), to reduce cooldown of two OK abilities by a pitiful 5 seconds?

sometimes i wonder if i've gone through entire boss fights without it proccing once, and even if it did proc a few times, WOOP-DEE-DOO, what's 5-15 seconds in the grand scheme of things?

the trait reminds me of the original version of Plenary Indulgence, sometimes i wonder what the devs are thinking
